Arthur x Reader


You were at the school clinic, lying down on one of the beds with the robes covering your part. You were coming up with a migraine and the nurse left immediately, leaving an instruction that you would just lie down and wait.

Yeah, sure.

The whole room was quiet and you hid yourself in the sheets, trying to go there deeper. You wanted to sleep. Even for just 10 minutes or so but apparently you weren't. Your thoughts started to drift away as you lay there in complete silence. And soon, you were in complete darkness.

You suddenly woke up with the noise of the door being shut closed with a bang. Your head started to throb all over again and you covered it with the pillow. "Ah god. Where's the nurse when you need here?" Your eyes went wide when you recognized that deep British accent. It was your long-time crush since you went to this institution: Arthur Kirkland.

You felt your face heat up when you realized that you two were the only people in the room but you shook the idea off and concentrated more on you getting rid of your migraine. You slowly turned to the other direction wishing not to get his attention but the moment you did one move, the bed creaked and the sound of rummaging through the shelves stopped.

"Is someone there?" He asked looking at the covered bed in the clinic. He has heard about the school rumors about a ghost of some student who committed suicide haunting the whole place. He waited for a few moments for a reply but nothing came out. Shrugging it off, the blond man returned to look for a bandage for Alfred who got a wound during P.E. and he was one of the people who had special access to the clinic. Well, one of the people.

Another squeak sounded off from the bed causing the hair at the back of his head to stand straight up. If that frog face is trying to sneak up on me, I'm going to kill him. He thought approaching the area. You froze hearing footsteps approach your cubicle. Apparently with all the movements you were making in trying to get a comfortable position on the bed, you caused noises to attract the person you didn't wish to attract as of the moment.

The curtain rings suddenly made a noise causing you to peek out of the bed sheet. "_______________? What are you doing here?" He asked as you felt your head hurt really bad it caused you to tear up. "Do you have fever? How long have you been here anyway?" You blushed seeing him walk over towards you and place a hand on your forehead. "You're getting warmer." He stated removing his hand. "Did the nurse leave a note with what medicine you'll be taking?"

"S-She didn't actually… A-And I don't have fever, it's just a migraine." You replied shyly, covering your face up with the sheets. "A migraine, eh? I think I know the medicine for that." He gave you a smile before getting up towards the shelves. "Let's see… Aspirin, Paracetamol, Biogesic… which one, which one…?" You looked over to where he was and couldn't help but smile. You appreciated what he's doing right now, fussing all over which medicine to give but looked on the other side of the situation. He was doing this in a friendly way to you.

You closed your eyes at the thought. You felt yourself being friendzoned silently right then and there. "Here you go love. Paracetamol would do the trick. If your head still hurts after 2 hours, take another one and you'll be fine." You looked up to find him holding a glass of water on the right and the medicine on the left. Your eyes widen seeing the sight before you. "Is something wrong, _______________?" You slightly shook your head in reply before taking in the medicine.

"Thanks Arthur." You managed to say after lying back down. "It's alright _______________. You should take a rest now." The blond suggested standing up. He was halfway out the door when you suddenly called out his name. "What is it love?" He asked returning his attention to you once again.

You were tongue tied. Great, what now?! Your mind screamed. Why did you even call him?  What will your excuse be now?! "I-I, uhm, actually, I have something to… Confess to you…" His footsteps suddenly went closer back to you. "I'm listening." You bit your lip. What if he rejects you? The mere thought of it made your head throb harder than it did before.

"I… Arthur, we've known each other for a short while now and… uh… T-The truth is, Arthur, despite the fact that we aren't that close, I…" You gulped back the words that were at the tip of your tongue. "Y-You know what, forget that I just tried to tell you something. Once again, thanks for hel--?!"

Before you were allowed to finish your sentence, Arthur leaned in and kissed your lips in a blink of an eye. You didn't move, didn't blink and you almost didn't breathe at that moment. Sensing that you wouldn't respond, he broke it and looked at you with an apologetic face. "I-I'm sorry _______________. I didn't know what went over me. I didn't mean to do that I just… I've liked you for a long time…" He confessed as you saw a shade of pink on his cheeks, his emerald eyes not meeting your (e/c) ones.

You gave out a slight giggle causing him to blush fifty-shades of red. "I like you too Arthur. I've liked you for a really long time." You told him pulling his collar and give him a kiss on the lips which he happily returned.

"Ahem."

You both broke up and looked at the door where the nurse was leaning on the frame. "That was a cute scene just now you know. And since it was cute, I'm letting the two of you off for now." She said causing the two of you to turn red like ripe tomatoes. "Oh posh, come along now you two. You'll be late for your next period."

"Actually ma'am, _______________ is having a migraine right now so I'll be the only one--." You stood up from your bed and smiled. "And the funny thing about my migraine is that it's gone now so I can go back to my class." Arthur looked at you in disbelief but was changed into a smile. "Well, we'll be going now ma'am." You bowed in front of her before walking out of the clinic side by side with the blond student.

"Say _______________," You looked at him with your (e/c) orbs. "S-Since well, you like me and I like you… What do you say about… I don't know… Uh, how do people say it?" He thought out loud, stammering. "'Would you like to be my girl?' Is that what you meant?" You asked stifling a laugh. His face turned red again and turned to another direction. "Y-Yeah…" You held his hand causing him to look at you.

"Of course Arthur." And like that the two of you became a famous campus couple…

That ended up with each other even after college…

Got married to each other…

And had a family of 5: You, Arthur, your identical twin sons <insert name here> and <insert name here>, and your newly born daughter, <insert name here>.

And you all lived happily ever after.
